This Monday the 17th, we will have a New Moon in Cancer. Its going to be a very emotionally sensitive cycle, especially because we will simultaneously have the sun and moon in cancer! The power of this moon will emphasize the awareness of your own emotions, as well as any underlying patterns. Get in touch with them, accept them, and feel it all…As you do this, your emotions begin to shift and release.
The cosmic energies will support this process as well as the transmutation of any previously repressed and suppressed material, so we’ll gain an extra boost of assistance in that way. Let your feelings be a guide for you during this time….This can lead you to a deepening authenticity, greater desires, and more of a need to set boundaries too. The heightened awareness around our emotions will help us know what we will no longer tolerate. It helps us be clear about what we need to do differently in relationships and other aspects of our lives to change things for the better.
Last month I released a you tube video about an upcoming online class I’m teaching on empathic sensitivity. In it, I talked about how we can work with our natural empathic abilities in a way that is empowering for ourselves and helpful to others. This is such an important topic for lightworkers these days, and any of us who tend to be more of the nurturing or caregiver types.
Well, it was perfect timing! Because this energy of this moon is also going to help us be more aware of the energies we can sense in others too. This includes their thoughts, emotions, beliefs, physical sensations and behaviors. Unfortunately, many of us not only sense but also pick up and carry others’ energetic baggage, which can cause us to feel overwhelmed or drained. The mental and emotional clarity from this moon cycle can help us develop a better discernment about what is ours and what isn’t. It addition, the lucidity we gain now can help with releasing what doesn’t belong to us, preventing us from reabsorbing these energies again.
So the energy of this moon and the class I’m teaching on the 20th of this month will assist with all of the above. And I’ll share more about my class at the bottom of this post. But in the meantime…We can expect a powerful, mysterious and enlivening new moon energy over the next two weeks!
This will include heightened psychic ability…If you don’t normally consider yourself intuitive or psychic you’ll certainly feel it at this time! In fact, you might feel the urge to retreat or withdraw at home, in a special outdoor space or healing sanctuary. Many will feel more called inward to do healing processes and meditations for reflection, review and guidance on the life path. In the midst of these spiritual practices, you may have epiphanies about your own gifts and talents, including how and where you feel inspired to offer them in the world. For those who are already doing this, you’re going to expand in the offering of your gifts. You’ll want to embrace your uniqueness or eccentric side in particular, and really step up and shine your light in a bigger way.
Since the sign of cancer highlights home and family, you can expect that issues will get triggered in these life areas. It might feel mentally or emotionally intense, but many will have the opportunity to make breakthroughs here! You might finally be able to move beyond a pattern or problem that has recurred for you in community settings, whether that has been with family, friends or in a workplace. Also, you might be delighted that after a long time, you are finally able to find a new home! Or perhaps you are able to remodel and upgrade your current home. It could also be that you feel more at home than ever before wherever you live–in a new or current city, state or country.
Whatever changes happen for you in this next moon cycle, especially those that involve understanding, honoring and working with your sensitivity and gifts, know that these will only support you in growing and thriving. It will be a time of moving into a greater level of empowerment and freedom, if you heed the call of your intuition and emotions. And with this mastery comes more empathic awareness. Using your empathic abilities will help you navigate your life more successfully and role-model to others the way from a place of strength and compassion. This is where all of humanity is headed!

There is so much happening on planet Earth these days! One of the topics I feel passionate about is how we can assist the animal and nature kingdoms. Right now our astrology supports us in viewing our current reality in a new way and finding solutions to challenges or issues. Since August, the planet Uranus has been retrograde in Taurus. Uranus is the planet that activates awakening. It shakes things up for us, brings change, helps us find innovative ways to breakthrough limitations or blocks. Taurus is the sign that can represent the earth, money and other valuable resources. So when the planet Uranus is retrograde that would indicate that we are given a time to reflect on what changes might be possible with areas of our lives that are connected with money, resources and the earth.
There is a lot of information out there about how to work with money and other forms of abundance in new ways that can benefit our lives. There are even new forms of currency available, like bitcoin for instance. We are also becoming more aware of alternative ways to take care of our physical bodies. Health and balance are becoming very important in our relationships and ways of living. So how can we apply all of this to the earth?
We can start by deciding what changes need to be made to help improve the earth. How could we help our wild and domestic animals be healthier? It’s a good time to review how we’ve been handling things thus far, and ways to make it better. Most of us can think about this and know what the problems are. But the influence of Uranus would want us to come up with innovative and unconventional solutions. We need to look at the deeper issues, know the causes behind the problems and how can we remedy them. This might seem daunting when we think of major global concerns like toxins, pollution, and depleted natural resources.
When we consider many of the dilemmas with wild animals, we know that the cattle and meat industry is a big part of it. Wild horses are taken off their lands to make room for cattle. Cattle are slaughtered for their meat. Many other domestic farm animals live in tightly restricted environments and we consume their eggs and milk. This also affects the climate and the earth in different ways. Because we are all connected and one, it ultimately affects us as well.
These are some of the really big issues and yet there are still more. So you might ask, what can done? This is where the innovative or creative geniuses come in, even the most alternative. Those inventors will come forward during this time period we are in now and over the next 10-20 years. There is technology in many forms, including the crystalline kind that can be helpful. Many other physical healing tools will become available. As our collective consciousness and DNA continues to shift, many more of us will easily be able to greatly decrease or discontinue our consumption of meat and dairy.
The earth is also in transformation. So some of the natural disasters and the dying off of particular species are a result of her going through this natural change. But she also has hidden helpers and protectors who are serving in the unseen realms. These beings are assisting her and many of the wild animals in overcoming much of the seemingly unsurmountable challenges influenced by our traditional human ways. Many of us lightworkers are also helping by offering energy healing and other supportive services to ground the light where it’s needed and promote transformation, while inviting Mother Gaia to turn on more of her 5D (crystalline) aspects and structures.
Much of this is part of the awakening influence of the planet Uranus and we can work with it to also benefit our animals at home. Even with our dogs and cats, it is worth pondering how we can connect or communicate with them in a way that serves their greatest well-being. In these changing times, many people are now seeking alternative resources to improve their animal’s physical and emotional health, behavior and their relationship with them. This can include anything from learning animal communication skills to using herbs, flower essences or other forms of nontraditional healing like acupuncture and massage. We are connecting with our animals on much deeper levels, recognizing them as equal partners. We know their value and worth. In these times especially, many can now see how their animals have unique personalities, souls, talents, and destinies, just like all of us.
And on that note, as we are aware of the love and devotion we have for our own animals and loved ones at home, we can just as easily apply that to the wild, aspects of earth and the world at large. Love is the greatest power there is and it can move mountains, break barriers and create miracles. We can all use this power of love in any way we choose. So ask yourself, how do you prefer to use it? Reflect on your passions, your desire to serve. What lights you up or brings you joy in life? This is the time to use your gifts, talents and desires, to bring them out in the world to benefit all. As the astrology supports us now, the possibilities for making great strides, changes and breakthroughs will be clearly evident in our collective reality in the years to come.

Since the end of 2022 eclipse passageway started in Mid October, big shifts have been occurring personally and collectively. The first solar eclipse on the 25th of October ignited the activations and furthered the illuminating and empowering process for many of us to deepen in our expansion and begin this next phase in our journey.
We are now feeling this upcoming lunar eclipse energy…in Taurus! We’ve been prepping for it over the last couple weeks. It can feel enlivening and exuberant, yet unsettling and chaotic at the same time. It’s sort of like living in the twilight zone; very surreal! We literally feel the changes happening moment to moment, day to day…and we know a new horizon and trajectory awaits us. The question is..can we stay present with it? Can we allow for these big leaps in consciousness and life shifts? Can we listen to, trust and follow our intuition and guidance right now, no matter what?
You may have already experienced some form of drastic change or you feel it coming. Or perhaps your life feels more spacious, dreamlike and blissful, with many opportunities showing up for you in a variety of life areas. If you haven’t already made the internal or external shifts you are being called to, now is the time to prepare. Go inward, get clear and start planning. Reflect on what you really want and deserve, use your imagination and mystical resources to envision it, and map out your first step(s). For some, it may feel as if a rug has been pulled out from under them, while for others it’s a conscious decision to implement these new beginnings. These novel fresh starts may be smaller or larger depending on your personal life path. But all of us are about to feel the transformation happening collectively.
These collective shifts may be felt in several ways. One of them has to do with the astrology. Mars is retrograde right now and through January 12th. This is providing an opening for the feminine to lead. With the strong Uranian influence, there can be unexpected surprises, breakthroughs and a dissolving of established patterns, structures and limitations. Sudden and radical change is possible. So in any area of your life where the feminine energy needs to be acknowledged, seen and utilized, let it come forth. This might involve life areas that require or affect your intuition, emotional expression, openness or relationships. In the bigger picture, it’s about what’s coming up in the political scene with the upcoming election and the results influencing women’s rights.
In addition, many of us are feeling the collective shifts in our relationship with the earth. We are drawn to assisting and connecting to her more. She is leading the way in this time of Ascension, and we can all benefit from following her energetic example. This is the time to get out in nature, take walks, meditate and just be! So much intuitive information, awareness and healing can come in for you to help you in this time of accelerated change. With Mother Earth as our ally, we can transcend any obstacle, pattern or dilemma.
She is continuing her rise into the higher realms as well. Particularly during and after this time of the lunar eclipse, because it is Taurus, we may see more physical changes on the earth. This might show up as weather and climate shifts, or some earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or storms. All of this is part of her natural transformative process. Her shifts might also affect the internet, so we should plan for some interruptions there as well. And lastly, this eclipse happening in Taurus will also influence old and outdated structures and systems around money. As these systems begin to breakdown, new ones that support the greater whole will come into being.
All of this is related to the idea of worth and value. It’s getting us to focus on self-love, our worth and what we value in our world. The importance of those groups previously oppressed–women, minorities, gay/lesbian, the nature kingdom, animals and so many others subjected to social barriers can be boosted up and supported. But are we willing to take action on this? Are we willing to step up to the plate? And what resources can we use to move forward? The eclipse in Taurus will highlight this as well. We are becoming aware of additional resources inside of ourselves and out in the world that we have long forgotten. It’s the time now to recognize and reclaim them. This is for our personal benefit and for that of the greater collective. So remember in the upcoming weeks and as we wrap up the end of this year…it is up to us. This is the time and we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
